About us
Yad Ezer L'Haver (Hebrew: "Helping Hand to a Friend" ) started as a small soup kitchen in 1991 by Shimon Sabag and his mother - Roza, the only member of her family to survive the Holocaust. Today it has evolved into a secure, welcoming home for more than 100 Holocaust survivors. Lately organization expanded its program towards helping low-income families and children at risk to meet the increasing demand for social assistance and community help for the residents of the northern areas of Israel.
